To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.
For more information on this event, please call (951) 461-6013.
In an effort to attract more businesses to the city and help current businesses within the city expand, Murrieta has ramped up its ombudsman services, which is like a "business concierge" program for anyone wanting to do business in the city.
The Ombudsman Service is offered through Murrieta's Economic Development Department and helps business owners with any possible hiccups or challenges they face in starting a new business or expanding an existing business. Within hours, the Economic Development Department can assemble a team of department heads including planning, building safety, police and fire (if needed) to work though issues in a timely manner with the business owner.
While the city government cannot waive federal, state, or local regulations, Murrieta is working hard to create a business-friendly ecosystem that helps business to grow.
Murrieta has also created the Fast-Track Program, which is in place to make sure there are no unforeseen issues with development projects that are under way or just starting in the city.
No challenge is too big or too small for Murrieta. Whether you need more financing for your business, a larger (or smaller) space to run your business, help getting through the permitting process or just want to be more involved in the community, Murrieta’s Economic Development team can make the connections to help you accomplish your goals. Murrieta does want your business here and will work hard to make it happen.
