To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

MURRIETA, CA – Improve your PSAT test scores by participating in the free PSAT Practice Test and Results Workshop hosted by the Murrieta Public Library and presented by Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions. This practice test on Saturday, January 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. is the perfect opportunity for students in grades 9 to 11 to find out what to expect on test day. Bring #2 pencils, a calculator, and snacks.
The corresponding PSAT Workshop on Tuesday, January 28 at 6 p.m. is for everyone, not just for those who took the tests, as students will learn helpful test strategies. The students who took the Practice Test will receive their scores at the workshop and parents are encouraged to attend the workshop as well. Both events will be held in the Library’s Community Room.
Now is the time to register as space is limited to 44 students. Register online at www.kaptest.com/college. Choose “Practice Test”, “PSAT” and “Find a Free Event”, type in your zip code, scroll down to the Murrieta Public Library heading, and sign-up. “Teens, this is your chance to discover what the test is like and learn tips to succeed,” states Joyce Lea Brown, Teen Services Librarian.
