Youth Center Grand Opening

November 1, 2013 – The City of Murrieta and its Community Services Department has recently finished construction of a 6,000 square foot facility dedicated to serving as THE place for Murrieta youth. The Grand Opening Ceremonies, November 16, are open to the public from 10 a.m. to2 p.m. The Youth Center Staff will be on hand offering memberships, tours of the facility, information on activities, and a sneak peek look of what the Murrieta Youth Center is all about.

The Murrieta Youth Center’s goal is to serve as a positive alternative space for youth of Murrieta to socialize, educate, and develop as productive members of the community. This goal is met through peer to peer mentoring, responsible empowerment, educational programming, and through strong positive supervision.

Grand Opening activities on November 16 will be:  facility tours, discounted annual memberships (with raffle prizes for parents who register their children), music, and exclusive use of facility amenities. Prizes will be awarded to those with the top score on our new NEOS game system. NEOS is an interactive, electronic play system. It’s a unique, new product bringing electronic gaming to the outdoor play space.

Additional Grand Opening Ceremonies, youth only, will carry on into the Thanksgiving Holiday week with many more challenges, activities and prizes for youth grades 6th –though 9th. The Murrieta Youth Center will be giving away great prizes for those in attendance with a grand prize drawing for an iPad. The more events you come to the more chances to win! Check out for more information on the grand opening events.
