At 1736 hours 911 calls began coming in reporting a traffic collision with injuries at Washington and Grizzly Ridge. As officers arrived, the driver that caused the collision jumped in his vehicle and fled, leaving the uninjured registered owner passenger standing in the street. Officers went in pursuit northbound Washington into Wildomar. The suspect, Dylan Hatch went off road with officers still in pursuit. Hatch crashed and his vehicle went off the dirt road he was on and down 100 feet into a ravine. Hatch then fled on foot into a ravine with heavy brush and oak trees. A containment was immediately set up. RSO was notified and responded to help. Officer Shows was called out and he and his bloodhound tracking dog Mady began a search at 1819 hours. At 1824 hours the suspect was located by Mady hiding in a ravine a short distance from where he was last seen in the foot pursuit. Hatch was DUI, unlicensed, and had two misdemenaor warrants. Injuries to the victim in the collision were minor but required transport to the hospital. Hatch was booked for felony DUI hit and run, felony evading a peace officer, driving without a license, and his outstanding warrants.
