Fatal Traffic Collision

Murrieta, CA - On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at 10:18 p.m., the Murrieta Police Department Dispatch Center received a radio call of a traffic collision involving a single motorcycle on Murrieta Hot Springs Road near Jackson Avenue.

Murrieta Police and Murrieta Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on scene and found a 38 year old male and a 31 year old female lying on the concrete median located about 470 feet east of Jackson Avenue.  In the same area, a motorcycle was located on its side.  Both subjects were suffering from major injuries and ultimately transported to a local hospital.  The male was pronounced deceased at the hospital at 10:55 p.m. and the female is continuing to receive treatment for her serious injuries.

The Murrieta Police Department’s Traffic Reconstruction Team is conducting a full investigation to determine the cause of the collision and if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision.
